Michael Douglas was recently told that his tumor is gone in his battle with throat cancer, which has left him and his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, incredibly relieved and happy.

Douglas admits that when his wife found out, “[s]he had a good cry,” states People. However, Douglas feels like he won’t be celebrating for some time.

“For me, it will probably be two or three months before it will really sink in and feel good,” the actor says about his recovery being ongoing at this point.

However, the couple did try to celebrate a little when they got the good news: “We dined on oysters and toasted with Shirley Temples.”
